It’s early Saturday morning and you’re headed out to Great Kills Harbor on Staten Island. The air is cool and you feel good about summer coming to a close. As you pull up to the edge of the harbor you discover that it’s filled “with thousands of dead bunker, a fish in the herring family. Their thick, silvery bodies clogged the waterline and were wedged between the giant rocks that border the shore.” Gross.
Authorities sighting natural causes….residents wary.
